Church Studies
In the New Testament we can read in the book of Acts chapter 2 that the Church of God came into being on the Day of Pentecost. From there it has spread around the globe both in time and space. Unfortunately, during that time and distance it has morphed and split into many differing denominations with almost diametrically opposite doctrines amongst some. There are liberal Christian denominations that publicly advocate that miracles, or a belief in the Deity of Jesus Christ or even a belief in God is not necessary for membership. Other sects, cults and denominations take a much stricter line on membership requirements. These studies are designed to provide a Biblical reference for the requirements of a God-centred Church and allow the individual Christian to make decisions in their own life as to how closely their own organisation meets the Biblically defined standard of the Church of God. At no stage does this author actively promote any particular denomination, cult or sect to attend. That is a matter of the personal walk between a Christian and God.
