Day of Atonement Studies

This festival in the Jewish calendar is called Yom Kippur and is recognised as the most solemn and Holy day of the year. For Christians it also represents a critical commemoration of the saving work of Jesus Christ as He made the ultimate sacrifice to die in our stead as the Lamb of God that atones for the sins of the world. To recognise our total dependence on God both Christians and Jews fast during this 24-hour period. These studies are designed to show the importance of commemorating this time and the significance the events pictured by this Day have in the overall Plan of God.
