RUTH Bible Studies
The events of the Book of Ruth are set during the time of the Judges. The author is unknown and while liberal scholars place the writing of the book sometime after the return from exile in Babylon, there is good literary evidence to suggest it was written close to the time setting of the story; Perhaps the best guess is around the time of Solomon about 100 years after the actual events being described taking place. While nominally the book purports to tell the story of a Moabite woman, Ruth, through her personal time of tragedy, most commentators realise that there is a strong allegorical message regarding the work of Jesus Christ. These studies are designed to focus on this aspect of the book's message for our lives.
