Life and Times and Teachings of Jesus Christ Studies

Historically we know that Jesus Christ lived in Palestine around 2000 years ago. He was born around 4 B.C. and died around 31 A.D. Palestine was a Roman province called Judea and there were a number of different languages such as Latin, Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew spoken in the region. The overwhelming culture of the day was Hellenistic although in the more rural locations the traditional local Hebrew culture still flourished. The main religion of the region was Judaism centred on the Temple located in Jerusalem. These studies are designed to give very brief snapshots of some of the places, locations and situations that Jesus Christ was involved with during the 3 1/2 years of His earthly ministry.  They are also designed to help us understand some of the key moments during His ministry and what those events and teaching mean for us today. If we are to claim the title of "Christian" or "follower of Christ" then it is critical we know Who He was, what He did; what He taught and what He commands for His followers.  Through these studies we can come to understand the reality of His life and the truth of who He was as both Divine Messiah and Creator.  Many of these studies are suitable for youth groups or younger readers to engage with.
