Last Great Day Festival Studies
God's command in the Old Testament was to observe 7 special High Days or Festivals throughout the year grouped into 3 festival seasons. The last of these was known as the Last Great Day of the Feast or the 8th Day of the Feast of Tabernacles. For the Jews there was no special significance assigned to this time other than showing respect for the law. However for the Christian this Festival represents the culmination of God's Plan of salvation. It signifies the events described in Revelation 21, 22 and 23 which talk about a Great White Throne Judgement and the New Heavens and New Earth stretching on into eternity. The studies associated with the observance of this festival take us beyond our 21st century world to at least 1000 years into the future where the culmination of all things stands at hand. It is a time of excitement and mystery and although we see it in a dim blurred vision, it still forms the end goal of all our hopes and dreams to live eternally with God.
